The Running Water Sluice

An educational experience for kids of all ages!
Hunt for treasure like the 1890's miners did with hands-on fun sluicing
sand thru a screen in rapidly running water and sifting out the treasures.
One of our club members will demonstrate how to use the sluice successfully
and explain what treasures you've found. Cost for a bucket is $5, and
all buckets include a geode which we will crack for you.

Find geodes, crystals, gemstones, fossils,
minerals, shells, rough and polished stones and many other types of
treasures!

Club members volunteer their time to help staff the
sluices at many events locally through out the summer and fall. Supplying
donations of materials for the sluices keep our members busy collecting
all year!
