About Earthinsync - an online rock shop for the geo-obsessed!

Tony and I caught the rockhounding bug in 2006, and it took off like wildfire! We quickly became geo-obsessed!

It was a way of life that kept us active and learning about minerals, gemstones, and agates; and gave us an opportunity and reason to travel.
To satisfy our growing interests in lapidary, gemstones and minerals, we bought Rusty’s Rock Shop in Decatur, Illinois, from Rich and Darlene Perry, and expanded our interests with the online rock shop to share found treasures in crystals, minerals, agates, and fossils at earthinsync.com.
We participated in the Central Illinois Gem & Mineral Club, the LOESS club in Springfield and the GESCI club in Macomb Illinois - plenty of reasons to get out and meet new people! We were active in the MWF Midwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies, and in the AFMS American Federation of Mineralogical Societies, which I highly recommend to any rockhound especially if you are just entering this realm! They have alot to offer to learn about this hobby!

Sadly, Tony passed in January 2021, and I put the online store on hiatus for a while, as I moved to a new state. Moving rocks is NOT fun!! However, I have renewed my interest in the hobby and, as a tribute to Tony, am carrying on to share this wonderful science with as many people as possible. I'm looking forward to meeting new rockhounds and rock clubs as I settle into Wisconsin.
