Mineral - Malachite with acicular crystals from Hubei Province China

Unusual malachite crystal formation.

This is acicular, rather than the more common botryoidal clusters or mammilary aggregates. Single crystals and clusters of individual crystals are a bit uncommon. This one has the green acicular crystals grown on top of the matrix.
